Brief: Create something small but eye-catching that lets passers-by experience the insidious dangers of landmines at the UNICEF information booths.

Solution: The idea was to place very special Landmine-stickers with self-adhesive topsides in front of the booths. They were invisible until they stuck to the people's feet. As soon as passers.by removed the stickers, they were suprised to see a landmine-picture on the bottom side and were informed that in many other countries they would have been mutilated at this moment.

Results:
-Compared to 2006, visits doubled
-Donations increased
-Idea captured people's attention and will be used at all upcoming UNICEF information booths

The designers said they had received numerous requests from people around the world who wanted to buy them. But they are not commercially available, and the designers said they had no plans to make them so at this time.

In the ad campaign, the LED smiles are affixed to the teeth of models, and glow different colors while they smile. The colors can be changed wirelessly through a computer interface. Of course they work best in the dark.

In Italy, there is very low penetration and awareness of online laundries. The task was to create awareness and engage the target by stressing the two main benefits of this essential service: speed and simplicity.

They indentified a niche target among young managers and professionals. These busy inviduals work long hours and have difficulty finding an open shop when they leave their office. They mailed 1000 targeted DM's.

The shipping box becomes a T-shirt shaped target and the recipients have been invited to hit it with a squishy tomato: the game showed the speed and the effectiveness of the service.

Results: Within 4 weeks 32% of their recipients registered on the site lavonline.it. The overall site traffic increased by 15%.

Brief Explanation: Designed with a purpose for everyday use, these eraser/usbs are meant to serve as a constant reminder of Alzheimer’s New Zealand’s importance, as well as help New Zealanders realise how important our memories are, and how difficult life can be for those living with this disease.

Brief from the client: Design a memorable piece of communication that raises awareness of the disease’s early warning signs, like memory loss, as well as reminding everyday New Zealanders of the importance of Alzheimers New Zealand.

Final design: Actual working erasers were hollowed out and fitted with USB memory sticks. The message displayed on the top is: ‘Alzheimer’s erasers your memories. Save them.’ On the reverse side was the Alzheimer’s New Zealand logo and website. The place you can turn for more information and support. alzheimers.co.nz.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market: Alzheimer’s New Zealand distributed these eraser/usbs amongst the public, sent them to various local organisations, as well as distributed them to local politicians, with a letter, in an attempt to raise awareness of the charity. They have received positive feedback and they’ll hopefully continue to leave people with some sort of understanding of what people with Alzheimer’s go through everyday, and where they could turn for more information and support.

An advertising agency Clemenger BBDO from Melbourne built Australia's biggest game outside. Constructed in front of the famous MCG stadium, Magnatron was a ten-story high 42-ton version of a skill tester arcade game. With a 30 metre high crane and a giant electromagnet.

Over a $100,000 in prizes were contained within a 20 metre prize box in 14 custom-built prize cages. Winners were elevated 8 metres into the air in a scissor lift, where using controls identical to what you¹d find on a regular skill tester, they controlled the movement of the crane and triggered the decent of the magnet. 100,016 people who attended the Grand Final saw the spectacle of a 1.5 ton Toyota Hilux being lifted twenty-eight metres into the air. Not to mention the 3.4 million who saw it on live television.

On October 2nd 2010 Grey Canada and The Media Merchants hosted an all-night projected installation at Toronto’s Union Station sponsored by Sensodyne iso-active tooth paste. The project, called “iso3D”, showcased the product's foaming action and is to date the largest branded, 3-D projection mapping display in Canada.

Guang Yin Yoga Club: Idea inside the box clever advertising

Background: Guangyin Yoga is a small yoga club in Shanghai. For 4 years, the club hasn't been running well with only few club members.
Challenge: How to raise Guangyin Yoga’s brand awareness overnight and enroll 300 new members with a small budget?
Solution: In the Shanghai CBD we placed a small-sized wooden box in the street. They asked their yoga master to get inside the box. Every time someone passed by, a hand would reach out with our club business card. Surprise!
Result: This campaign lasted 15 days, with over 35,000 target directly communicated, 319163 video clicks on the web, and more than $138,000 of free media report. After the campaign, over 2000 people visited the club within a month, and 622 of them became new members,107% more than expected. And the cost: US $74.
